Scotty Pulley
Scotty Pulley is a Dallas-based oil painter whose landscapes are shaped by expansive skies, distant horizons, and the restrained power of approaching storms. His paintings linger on the razor-thin line between foreboding and hope, capturing moments when the land grows quiet and the firmament seems to hold its breath. The viewer is left to decide whether the storm is arriving or receding, and whether the stillness speaks of loss and fear or hope and faith.
His flower paintings explore these same ideas at a more intimate scale, finding strength, vulnerability, and quiet beauty within delicate forms. Across both bodies of work, light becomes a bridge between the seen and unseen, inviting reflection on the Eternal and our place within it. Many of his landscapes also contain two small white sparrows, a personal symbol of companionship, endurance, and facing life’s storms together.
