Julie Shunick Brown

Color fascinates me. I experiment with unique combinations and spatial arrangements. My painting has evolved into a nonobjective style, both abstract and intuitive. Some work is delicate and ethereal, some geometric with bolder, brighter colors.

Built in layers, some hidden, the work is intentionally ambiguous. The paintings don’t represent specific ideas nor are they meant to persuade; they reflect my ongoing exploration. This enables viewers to interpret the work.
